I've been looking after a loved one who spent two days in the hospital. It's a big relief to be through it. This photo says it all.

Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteHospitals are better kept away from. Do hope the recovery is speeding along.
Such a wonderful water picture.
It is terrible that such a fantastic photo like yours has such sad undertones. I wish your loved one better.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Sarah
ReplyDeleteI will be keeping you in my thoughts.
Tracy :)
Hate to hear you've been through some stress and a loved one has been in hospital. I hope all is well now.
ReplyDeleteThe photo says it all. And what a peaceful image.
I'm glad you are now on the other side of the trouble. Thinking of you and wishing you the best.
ReplyDeleteI trust that everything went well?
ReplyDeleteIt was really kind of you to link to me. You are such a good blog-friend (and real-life one, too).
Best wishes to you all in Maine, and hope for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteStunning photo!
Hope all is well, and will be well. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteAhi, what great finds!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous picture. I hope that things are okay. I've missed looing at your always enriching blog!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Bee's blog about Jane Austen's house was amazing! I toured Margaret Mitchell's house in Atlanta two years ago. It's a tour well worth your time and it's very informative about the author and, most surprisingly, her active role in the city's civil rights movement before her death.
ReplyDeleteTo be in a place of such creativity... thank you for this wonderful link Sarah.
All, the procedure went extremely well. The patient is recovering at home and out of danger.
ReplyDeleteOf course this is happening during soccer season. Today I was at one child’s away game and got a call on my cell saying the other was missing from practice. Luckily all turned out alright. I literally collapsed in the kitchen when I got home.
I will catch up on blog visits once I’ve caught up on sleep. I’m looking forward to that. Your comments and well wishes cheered me up, thank you!
Sarah, it's wonderful to have someone around who cares during a dreaded hospital stay. I hope you are reading a few plays while you sit with your loved one. I also took a Shakespeare class a few years ago. I had a full schedule, and then suddenly I decided to just take Shakespeare. I sat on the beach with my Riverside HEAVY edition and spent several days a week reading and thinking about Shakespeare. It was the best way to spend my time. My research and writing that year was energized by the focus on just one author. It's difficult to go into Shakespeare without that kind of focus. Even now my attention wanders. I'm glad that I had that time though. I hope you love your time reading...and that you read a bit outdoors by the water-weather permitting!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've been dealing with illness along with everything else. Best wishes to your family member.
ReplyDeleteI had the exact same experience with soccer practice when both my boys were playing. Of course, everything was fine, but I always wonder how many years we moms are shaving off our lives every time it happens!
Thanks for the shout-out. I'm headed to USM for 'processing' today, and I can't wait for Monday.
Gorgeous shot. Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteI will pray to my god for your wellness !!Unseen Rajasthan
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely in the Cuban's corner with this one. Every blessing to both of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your is on the mend. And the photo looks like a beautiful place to go to be restored.
ReplyDeleteWish you and your family the best during this time.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well with your family and that you have had a chance to relax as well. Sitting in a hospital room is one of the most tiring activities of all--no doubt, stress is a large part of this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the referral to Plant Whatever Brings You Joy. I just checked out her book review; this sounds like a book I definitely should read!
Cynthia, in the hospital I started reading an ARC novel that I’m reviewing for October’s book review club. At home I’ve been watching the films of the plays as the teacher advised – better than reading them for the first round. Your full emersion would be the way to do it – it’s a bit like learning a new language. I spent the weekend enjoying the outdoors with my family. Henry and I sat on those rocks by the water and soaked up the sun while Stella, our dog, swam. Bliss!
ReplyDeleteME, thank you. I chewed a sore into my cheek worrying when my son went missing. Sorry you had to go through it too. Good luck tomorrow – I’ll be thinking of you. So exciting!
Kelly, UR and Dave thank you so much for your well wishes. They help.
Apprentice, welcome to my blog and thank you! I hope you are feeling better too.
David, thanks! BTW, it looks like the comments are disabled on your blog.
Rose, the only thing more tiring is being the patient, but I do worry for two. I thought you’d like that garden book and blog. Nice to connect you two.
Such beautiful photos and most interesting news and snippets I have so enjoyed my wander through and will if I may, return again. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to read all is well with your loved one.
Beautiful pic and some interesting blogs. Thanks.
