Lovely photos! They make me happy and are very tempting. I feel like gathering shells at low tide. Love "Whilst sand freezes in windy ripples". It looks just like an abstract piece!
The third photo, top to bottom, is a painting itself. If you hadn't mentioned the snow, I wouldn't have known it was the white stuff there. It's a picture (like the rest) beyond words. Nature, the greatest artists of all! :-)
Oh what a nice verse. I had to smile. Here we still have mountains of the stuff piled along the roads..... but I saw my concrete driveway this morning for the first time in months. :)
I had never thought of late winter/early spring as anything than the ugliest time of year, but your pictures beg to differ. What cool images and compositions. Guess I need to check out late winter on the Maine coast because that is beautiful!
What a lovely little poem for winter's end! I know it must be bitter cold, but those sparkling blue skies always persuade me otherwise. I love to see the shimmer of light on the sea, although the frosted beach is pretty wonderful, too.
It does look wretchedly cold though rather beautiful. Splendid photos. I do believe that spring is approaching here. I might even go out for a walk just for the fun of it!
Stunning photos. And, as we move into our winter, I'll stop moaning about the cold here because we still look a lot warmer than it does in those photos. The captions were captivating, too! Judy (South Africa)
Great shots and verse Sarah...if feels cold and looks beautiful. This is the first time I have not lived near the sea...I miss it!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one!
Jeanne :)
Beautiful "me" takes wonderful pictures for those who long for the sea.

ReplyDeleteYou caught a slice of the season I enjoy. When the snow is off the roads (and its warmer) but still lingering here and there around tree, dunes etc.
ReplyDeleteHappy winter to you! It'll soon be gone but it's nice to embrace it like you seem to be doing. Love this post!

ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
The rippled sand would make a fabulous fabric design!

ReplyDeleteSO beautiful ... the pictures AND accompanying words!

ReplyDeleteBeyond. I am READY, even I, am READY.

what a stunning array of images - most of them a study in white and blue, including the great shot of you!
ReplyDeletemy favorite, however, is the shot of sand, ridged and encrusted with snow. how often does one see that, i wonder?
(probably a fair amount, in maine ;-)
Such pretty photos! Thank goodness for the sun...keeping things 'defrosted'! Hopefully the snow will not linger for you too much longer;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely verse and photographs Sarah! It may still be a snowy landscape but it is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Sarah! I hope spring is on its way soon to your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful post Sarah. I was immediately drawn in by the composition of the photographs and your verse. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHello Sarah
ReplyDeleteLove all the pictures, but the ripple one is my favorite!
Looking forward to spring and the warm weather!
Have a great week!
Best
Tracy :)
I love your photo poetry. Spring is here in the Midwest. I hope it arrives soon in Maine.
ReplyDeleteThe ripple one is my favorite too!
