A winter walk at Popham Beach
With my intrepid family,
Daring frosted sand
And frigid sky and sea.
Then warming up at North Creek Farm
And home in time for tea.
Blog Watch: can you believe it's my eighth Blog Anniversary? Thanks for reading and keep warm! It's minus ten Fahrenheit this morning. I'm taking a one-week blog vacation to head south to NYC.
Next post: Tuesday January 30th.

Hello Sarah,
Your photographs really do capture the chill of the seaside in Winter. One can feel the wind as it blows across and the sea takes on a menacing look, master of all it surveys! One can scarcely believe the difference from the Summer.
And, how wonderful to return home to the welcome of the fire and the most delicious looking Afternoon Tea. Bliss.
The temperatures really have plummeted and it will be a respite to be in the relative warmth of the city. Take care and safe travelling.
Eight years of Blogging......surely a Lifetime Achievement Award is called for! Keep the posts coming!
Happy Anniversary, Sarah! Wow, eight years--congratulations. And it's easy for me to love January so I especially enjoyed these winter photos. Have fun in NYC!
Love those photos. I feel like I just hiked in the stark beauty and warmed up with tea. Congratulations on keeping up this wonderful blog for eight years! That takes dedication.
I definitely needed your post to remind me that January is a beautiful month. But with snow. What we have now in London is rain and wind. Beautiful photos. Thanks.
Greetings from London.
Congratulations on your blog anniversary - 8 years is quite the accomplishment!
Love the tea photos - brings back memories of this lovely repast when I lived in England.

I whish you for you and family a Happy new Year!!
Love the pic of tea time, Just beautiful!
Stunning photos as usual - you really capture the stillness of a beach in winter. Congratulations on your 8th blogiversary!
Your photos make winter look so appealing! Actually, I don't mind winter for awhile, especially the chance to curl up with a cup of hot tea or coffee and a good book, of course.
What a perfect balance of inside and out, cold and warmth, wind and fire. I could almost love January myself after that! In fact I think you have won me over.
Love this! Definitely good ideas for surviving January. I hope you have a good time in New York.
I love beaches, cats not as much, but I think I would join that one by the fire. Happy 8th anniversary!
