Salt Marsh Blues in Maine

A new season is on the horizon.

Thaw browns ground, uncovering last year’s leaves.

Sun paints the fields a tender green,

And flowers maples against cold blue.

Reflected on still water, sky becomes sea.

A lonely marsh calls to migrating birds.

The woods whisper of warmer days,

Leading us toward spring.

Note: I'll be taking a 2-week blog vacation.
Next post on May 2.

So. You are every bit as wonderful a photographer as you are a painter. Lovely photos!

Thanks so much for letting me know about leaving off the credits for my last paragraph. I had a devil of a time with blogger yesterday - huge separations between paragraphs, type sizes all over the place. Very frustrating. So I just overlooked the last information.
It was from My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell and the dress was from Etro.

Have a good two weeks!!

Makes me want to walk right into the screen and up those paths.

Love, love those photos. You've captured spring's soul, which is not an easy thing to do. Many thanks. That was a visual treat. Have a lovely break with your family.

Greetings from London.

Lovely images, both in poetry and photos. It's good to see that spring is finally coming your way, Sarah.

I do like the first shot, its scene and perspective. It makes me feel inspired, I should get up and take off for a walk immediately!! :-)
